Planning to celebrate the life of Sally Sheets

The family of Sally Ann Miller Sheets will be announcing plans for a virtual celebration of life soon.

We know Sally’s life had an immeasurable impact and we hope to cultivate a space where we can (virtually) gather to celebrate her with all who knew our mom and wife.

While it is customary for a grieving family to outsource the sacred work of preparing such a space, as a family of ministers, we are honored to feel called and equipped ourselves. Such a task will take some time to do well and in a manner that honors the unique gift that is Sally Ann Miller Sheets.

Before long we will announce the date and time for this live virtual celebration and details on how you can access the service should you be unable to attend the live format. In the meantime, we have set up this space for you to share your memories and express your sorrow and joy. Our family will return here for years to come to be ministered to by your contributions.

We know that cards are an important custom for many, so we welcome your notes that way as well!

You can send them to:

Obituary

On Friday, March 12, 2021, Sally Ann (Miller) Sheets completed her final earthly battle and was welcomed into the glory and majesty of the presence of her Savior, Jesus Christ.

Sally is survived by her faithful and loving husband, Rev. Paul Kenneth Sheets (Middleburg, PA); her son, Stevan Paul and wife, Jessica, and their children Ella and Ezra (Clearfield, PA); and her daughter, Sherilyn Ann and best friend, Scout (Chicago, IL). She was preceded in death by her daughter, Stacia Cressa in 1990 and longed for the day they would reunite in Heaven.

Sally was born on March 8, 1952 to Wilson D. and Ruth E. Miller (both deceased) in Northampton, PA. She sought to love her large and extended family with her whole self for her whole life. Her ability to love stretched far beyond any boundary of family or geography and she made friends in all contexts of life. Throughout life’s tragedies and triumphs, Sally was well-loved and loved well.

Sally’s family and friends will forever miss the intentionality with which she cared for them. She was a fully committed disciple and ambassador of the Lord Jesus Christ, daily pointing others towards the hope she had in Him. Through words and actions, she ministered God’s grace in immeasurable and indescribable ways. Her heart’s desire was for others to experience the joy that comes from turning their eyes upon Jesus.

Please sign the guestbook.

True and perfect peace

On March 12th, 2021, Sally Ann Sheets experienced the final dimming of the things of this world, turned her eyes upon Jesus and saw His wonderful face! No more pain. No more struggle. Love made perfect. True and perfect peace.

The moments leading up and through her final breaths on this earth were a testament to the goodness of God as we witnessed the mercy of our Lord. Paul, her husband; Stevan, her son; and Sherilyn, her daughter were present at her side in prayer together as she moved from death to life with Jesus!

We will never be able to accurately express all that we experienced in those Holy moments together.
